Overview
We at Sun City Summerlin own our three (3) golf courses. This ownership, we believe, is the key to our successful golf program. It not only helps drive our real estate values, but it allows us to offer outstanding golf packages to our residents.
All three (3) of our golf courses possess magnificent views of the local mountains and/or the city of Las Vegas with great evening views also. In addition, all three (3) courses are maintained in excellent condition. We overseed all three (3) courses to provide our residents with optimal playing conditions year-round. One of our courses, Highland Falls, has received the prestigious “Best Course in The Valley” award several times.
Donny Long

Las Vegas native Donny Long chose a career in golf for the same reason most do, he loves the game and enjoys teaching people how to play it or improve upon their existing game. He began his career in 1999 as Assistant Golf Professional at Revere at Anthem where he spent two years teaching and assisted with the opening of a new property that included two courses in a Del Webb community. He developed a special affinity for tournament golf and accepted a position as Tournament Director at Silverstone Golf Club where he spent a year opening the 27-hole course and running many large outings including the Celebrity Golf Classic, which was televised nationally.
In July of 2002, Long joined the staff at Palm Valley Golf Club and in 2006 was promoted to Head Professional / Tournament Director. Further demonstrating his love of the game, Long became a Class A PGA Professional in July of 2005. In November of 2013 Donny was promoted to the Director of Golf where he oversees the three golf courses, Palm Valley, Highland Falls and Eagle Crest.
Long resides in Las Vegas with his wife and two children and besides playing golf, in his spare time enjoys fishing, baseball and anything involving time spent with his family.
