Overview
Palm Valley is Golf Summerlin’s longest and most challenging course. Mature, gently undulating fairways are generous enough to allow most players to hit with the driver all day, but the deceptively rolling bent grass greens make every two-putt testy. Pine trees line many of the fairways, and 68 bunkers also tighten the course.

Our golf professionals are trained in bettering the abilities of beginners to the game as well as helping those who consider themselves avid golfers. Shane Sanchez

Shane Sanchez grew up in Green River, Wyoming before moving to Las Vegas to help open Palm Valley in 1990. Sanchez served as Vice President of the PGA Chapter in 1997 and 1998 and was a member of the board of directors from 1997-2002. Sanchez also earned the 2011 Merchandiser of the Year award from the Southern Nevada PGA Chapter. In 1998, he was recognized by the Southern Nevada Golf Association as the Professional of the Year. That same year he won the prestigious Southern Nevada PGA Chapter Championship that was played at Highland Falls. Sanchez is a fixture in the Las Vegas golfing community known as a solid player and excellent teaching professional.
One of the highlights of Sanchez’ long career was helping to open the Palm Valley course and getting to know Billy Casper, who co-designed the course with architect Greg Nash.
Sanchez and his wife enjoy spending time with their kids and grandkids as well as their annual cruise with friends.
